A Purr-fect Visit: MK Mayor Drops by the MK RSPCA Cattery!

We had a very special visitor recently at the MK RSPCA Cattery - James Lancaster the Mayor of Milton Keynes stopped by to meet our feline residents and see first hand the work we do every single day for the animals in our care.

It was a truly heart-warming visit, filled with paw-shakes, gentle meows, and a few curious cats climbing up for a better look at their distinguished guest! 🐾

💬 The Mayor spent time chatting with our dedicated staff and volunteers, learning about the challenges we face and the incredible number of mouths we feed each day. With dozens of cats currently in our cattery - each with their own story, personality, and needs - it’s a full-time job making sure every bowl is filled and every tail is wagging (or purring!).

🐾 “There’s a lot of love here - and a lot of food being served!” the Mayor joked, after seeing the impressive feeding routine that keeps our feline friends happy and healthy. He had time for lot's of cuddles and Olaf got in there for a quick cuddle!

We’re so grateful for the Mayor’s visit, support, and genuine interest in animal welfare. It’s a big boost to our team and a great reminder of how important community support is for the work we do.

🙏 Can you help us feed our cats?

With so many hungry tummies to fill, we’re always in need of food donations and financial support. Every tin, pouch, and bowl counts—and so does every kind heart.

🧡 Donate here: Paypal 🛒 Or drop off kitten/cat food at one of our shops

Thank you to the Mayor, our volunteers, and every supporter who helps us care for Milton Keynes' most vulnerable animals.

Together, we're making a difference—one paw at a time.
