Giving Up Your Pet

If you have taken the decision to rehome your pet then doing so through a rescue charity is the most responsible way. However, we cannot always assist with rehoming your pet.

Our charity prioritises vulnerable animals who are in urgent need of care. Due to the ever increasing number of animals coming into our branch via our inspectors we cannot guarantee to offer a space.

The added financial burden of re-homing pets also places a strain on our funds which can put our vital rescue work at risk.

Please note that at present we are unable to help rehome Dogs.
The Process

You must first complete our animal history form by clicking the relevant button below. Please be honest and free with the information you provide as this will help us to find the most suitable home for your pet.

When your form is received our volunteers will get in touch with you with our decision as soon as they can. Please note that this response may take up to 48 hours or longer during busy periods.

Warning!

Rehoming your pet though a local selling site carries many risks.

Never advertise your pet as “FREE TO A GOOD HOME”. Although you may want to see them go to the best place and don’t want to take any money for them, your pet could end up with a pet trader, someone who will sell the animal on at a later date just to make money.

There is also a risk that the animal could be used for purposes other than a pet, such as bait for dog fighting.

It is safer to suggest a reasonable price and be assured that if a genuine animal lover is interested then they will be happy to pay.
