The rescue crisis continues...can you help?

Updated: Oct 8, 2023

August was another extremely busy month, and we took in a further 73 animals.

We were very lucky that despite summer holidays being in full swing, we still managed to rehome 64.

A further 7 cats were trapped, neutered and returned to their original locations, as they were being supported by members of the community.

We appreciate times are extremely tough for many people, and the costs of living crisis has affected many families.

There has been a sharp increase with the demand for rescue space and we received requests to take in over SIXTY cats and NINE rabbits.

Sadly we do not have the space or resources to take in such a large number of animals (in addition to the ones received from local vets, strays and the Inspectorate). We assisted twenty of the requests, and those animals were able to come into rescue.

As a Branch we only receive a nominal sum from National RSPCA and rely on donations, legacies, fundraising and support from our community.

September has been equally as demanding and we have been inundated with requests to help. Please bear with us while we continue to help wherever we can.

If you able to support us, we would be very grateful of donations,
