Thank you for allowing us to share just how much you meant to your family and everyone who was lucky enough to know you. Your mum, Isabella, has graciously opened her heart to tell us your beautiful story about the special bond you shared, the joy you brought into her life, and how deeply you will be missed. She described you as her soulmate, her little boy, and it’s clear that your love and spirit touched everyone around you. We want to honour your memory with a tribute fitting of the love you inspired.
From the moment you and your sister Bella unexpectedly came into their lives in 2016, your family knew you were special. It all started at a fete, where the ARAS rescue stall became your first home, and where your big ears and proud blue and white bandana caught your mum’s eye. You were full of life, active and affectionate, showering your family with kisses, eager to play and explore.
Your early days together were filled with joyful chaos—trampling flower beds, digging up the garden, chewing cushions, chasing each other, and playing hide and seek. Despite being a little mischievous, you always had a gentle and protective spirit, especially towards your sister, Bella. Though initially shy, she looked up to your boldness, following your lead into adventures and mischief.
Your family remembers how you tried to be friends with the resident cats, even if they didn’t quite understand your inquisitive curiosity. Your puppy training classes were lively, with your humorous antics often drawing smiles rather than obedience. You loved your family fiercely, always seeking them out, especially you, dear Freddie, your mum.
Your personality was truly one-of-a-kind; kind-hearted, goofy, and a gentle giant with a protective streak. You adored your walks, loved cuddles on the couch, and enjoyed sharing your love, whether it was a sample of your mum’s food, a game of musical chairs, or a simple walk by the lake. Your love was unconditional, and your joyful presence brightened every day.
Although you became unwell in your last week, your spirit and love remained unwavering. Your peaceful passing, surrounded by those who loved you, marked the end of a beautiful chapter. Your mum describes you as her soulmate, always there during her moments of sadness and stress, offering comfort with wet kisses and your boundless affection.
Freddie, you were more than a dog to your family. You were a little boy, a loyal friend, and a source of endless joy. You taught them unconditional love, humour, and resilience. Your love and memory will live on forever in their hearts, and we hope that your story inspires others to love animals just as fiercely.
In your memory, your mum has chosen to sponsor the RSPCA Milton Keynes and North Bucks, helping other animals like you find safety, love, and happiness. We would also like to thank her for her very generous donation of £650, which will allow us to buy a new gazebo in your memory. We are immensely grateful for her kindness and for the chance to honour your beautiful life.
Freddie, one day, we hope you’ll be there to greet us again—big ears, blue bandana, and all. Until then, rest peacefully, knowing you were deeply loved and forever missed.
With love and remembrance,
The RSPCA Milton Keynes and North Bucks
