Eric Vogel, Chair RSPCA MK and North Bucks

The RSPCA Milton Keynes & North Bucks branch is dedicated to promoting animal welfare and preventing cruelty to animals in the Milton Keynes and North Buckinghamshire area. Our comprehensive services include animal rescue, rehabilitation, rehoming, and education to enhance the well-being of both animals and the community. With a dedicated team of volunteers and staff, we have supported countless animals and individuals, fostering a more compassionate and humane society.

Demand for our services continues to grow significantly, with animal intake and subsequent rehoming numbers increasing again for a further year alongside the continued provision of welfare services to the local community.

Our branch has a policy to never euthanise an animal. We rescue and rehome animals that have pre-existing problems that require long term regular veterinary care. Many of these animals would have to be euthanised if we did not help with financial support.

There are unfortunately occasions, where in consultation with our animal experts and vets, euthanasia is in the best interest of their welfare. This means preventing further suffering, whether that's physical or mental, if they can't be rehabilitated with a view to either release (if wild) or rehome (if domestic).

Our branch is majority self-funding and we rely on the generous support of our community. The public who donates directly to us, buy from our charity shops, support us at our events and provide homes for many of the animals rescued by the branch. We have a core network of dedicated volunteers who provide their time to support the branch. We have a dedicated team of shop managers and staff, who all raise funds for the branch but also support their local communities and socialise the amazing work of the branch.

Our animal centre is supported by our animal coordinators and volunteers who look after and manage the care of all the animals who the branch have rescued and rehomed, often going above and beyond to help animals in need.

We build on the great work the branch does, working tirelessly to ensure we are able to continue to keep abandoned and unwanted animals safe and cared for.

We will not be able to provide our services without your generous support, so please join us for our next event, sponsor a pen, visit our charity shops, donate or get involved as we are always looking for volunteers.

We always value feedback so please get in touch - feedback@mkrspca.org.uk
