Tim Handy

Trustee

My interest in animal welfare and conservation began when I was young and had a lasting influence on me. It was one of the reasons I chose to become a vegetarian long before it became popular, and I still am over 35 years later!

Professionally, I have spent more than 20 years helping organisations develop their strategy, lead change and communicate more effectively. I particularly enjoy solving complex problems, bringing people together around a shared vision and finding practical ways to turn ideas into action.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, watching cricket and taking on the occasional DIY project. I've always enjoyed solving puzzles too, so if I happen to have a few spare minutes, you'll usually find me with my head buried in a crossword or Sudoku.

What attracted me to the Branch was the opportunity to build on the excellent work that has already been done while looking ahead to how we can grow our reach and impact in the years to come. I look forward to working with my fellow Trustees, volunteers and staff to support the Branch in reaching even more animals with the care and protection they need.
