Sophie Barlow
Trustee
My name is Sophie Barlow and I joined the Milton Keynes and North Bucks Branch of the
RSPCA as a Trustee in March 2026.
I am married with two very naughty Maltese dogs, called Kimi and Benny.
My two passions in life are animals and travel.

I have had animals for as long as I can remember, mainly cats and dogs. I have also enjoyed
working as a volunteer for various animal charities worldwide, including working to re-
habilitate crocodiles and snakes, who have usually been kept as pets, into the wild in South
Africa.
​
My career has involved extensive worldwide travel, including working as Cabin Crew and
Cabin Crew Manager for British Airways. It is when working as a manager for British
Airways, I started to gain a real interest in Human Resources and the people element of
operations in general. Since then, my career has been people driven, gaining an MBA
specialising in Human Resource Management and now having well over 20 years of
experience in this area.
I was driven to apply for the role of Trustee at this Branch, as I wanted to make a difference
to such a worthwhile organisation which was also local to me. Although I have only been
here for a short while, I am amazed at the time and dedication that the people here
contribute to the charity.
I very much look forward to working with the team and hopefully will be able to contribute
to the organisation myself with the skills and experience I have earned over the years.
