With just one day left before Prada's CT scan, her foster mummy sent us a little update; 'Hi everyone I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all of you who have donated to Prada's fund, supported her Facebook page and supported her through your kind words on the MK RSPCA Facebook page. Life with Prada is interesting. She is not a typical kitten by any means. She has adapted to life on specialist foods - even though she would rather eat chicken. She is always filthy and probably has enough bacteria in her fur to make her own special tv advert - but we love her to pieces and are keeping everything crossed that the CT scan gives Mr Hobson the answers he needs. We may not know the outcome for several days but I will update everyone as soon as I am able to. Thank you again, C and Prada Pea xxx
Earlier this year we rescued Prada. Her jaw had been broken and left untreated which had resulted in it becoming fused together. Prada's story has touched the hearts of many including one very generous veterinary dental surgeon who kindly offered to investigate the fused jaw further and operate if possible, completely free of charge!
We were overwhelmed with joy and gratitude and Prada went off for X-Rays and a pre-operation appointment. Sadly the X-Rays did not provide sufficient clarity for the operation to proceed and we were told that we would need to provide a CT scan instead. These are very expensive, but a wonderful veterinary centre in Northampton has offered us a scan for an amazing price of £500 (normally £1000+)
The current outlook for Prada is not good and we have been presented with a chance to change that. We would love to give Prada the opportunity to have this life changing operation. Her wonderful character and perseverance with her current situation has been heart-warming to watch and we feel she deserves a chance at a normal life. If you would like to help us meet this cost then please consider making a donation.
We have set up a fundraising page for Prada's scan. Please follow the link:
