Happy New Year

As 2018 comes to a close we'd like to thank everyone for their help and support. It's been another busy year! We have rehomed in the region of 650 cats and kittens - considering we are just a small, independent, local branch and haven't a dedicated animal home, that is a lot ! Without our wonderful team of fosterers and volunteers this wouldn't be possible. We have also taken in a number of dogs and small mammals via our inspectors which, thanks to help from other branches and rescues, we've been able to secure much better futures for.

If it weren't for our fundraisers who go out in all weathers and the donations we receive be it money, food or goods that can be sold in our charity shops, animals like little Brian Jnr below would not be here today. An inspector had rushed him into Milton Keynes Veterinary Group collapsed and near to death. He was covered in fleas and was severely anaemic. His only hope was a blood transfusion which we agreed, without hesitation, to cover the costs of . A donor was taken to Walnut Tree so the vets could help little Brian Jnr. We are happy to say he made a full recovery and is now in his forever home. He is just one of the many sick or injured animals we have dealt with this year and will continue to do so in 2019.

We'd like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year
