Angela Haggar is a local resident who has organised a wonderful Christmas project to help provide a little bit of Christmas cheer to our animals that will be homeless over the festive season!
Angela explains why she is running the project:
"We sadly, and unexpectedly, had to say a final goodbye to our yappy, funny, exasperating and very much loved Jack Russell Terrier, Bonnie, at the beginning of this year after 11 happy years. In her memory we have set up Project Santa Paws, a small, local project based in Woburn Sands, with the aim of donating food and other much needed supplies to our two local animal rescue centres, HULA and the North Bucks branch of the RSPCA, to help support the cats, dogs and small animals who find themselves with no families to love them this Christmas. Both charities are fully supportive of the project.
The idea is that everyone who takes part donates a shoe box of items taken from a list of things that the shelters have told us they need. These can then be dropped off to 1 Wood Street at any time between 1st November and 20th December and we will make sure they’re delivered to the rescue centres in time for Christmas. Donations don’t have to be in a shoe box, bags will be welcomed just as warmly.
Please will you take part?"

The drop off address is 1 Wood St, Woburn Sands, Milton Keynes MK17 8PH
If you are not local then Angela has suggested that a similar project be launched in your own area, making it a special Christmas for animals across the UK!
Here are some pictures to provide you some ideas for the boxes, but for more information and to help spread the word you can download the poster HERE!
