RSPCA Milton Keynes & North Bucks Neutering Promotion
Benefit claimants neuter your cats and rabbit for £10 and dogs for £30.
With the support of the Co-op Local Community Fund, starting on 8th October 2018 RSPCA we will be offering benefit claimants a chance to neuter their cats and rabbits for just £10 and dogs for £30. The promotion will run with participating Veterinary Practices and continue until the allocated funds have run out and only available to anyone who is on low income benefits.

Why Neuter?
Unwanted pet pregnancies can cause you headaches and heartache. They can also add to the overpopulation crisis in the UK so neuter today!
Every year, we deal with literally hundreds of animals. Currently the branch is looking after over 100 cats and kittens and unfortunately has to turn away many other cats in need because there is no room.
There are no benefits in letting your animals have a litter before being neutered. The RSPCA recommends you neuter your animal as young as possible to prevent unwanted pregnancies.

Dogs
Neutering improves the overall health of your dog whether it’s male or female. It can remove health risks associated with pregnancy, some cancers and fatal infections.
Cats
The cat population in the UK has reached crisis point. The RSPCA as a whole takes in on average 12,000 cats per month. Girl cats can start to attract tomcats when they are just four months old so it’s important to get them neutered when they are young and help prevent unwanted litters.
Rabbits
Other than preventing unwanted pregnancy there are dangerous health implications for leaving female rabbits un-neutered. Up to 80% will develop uterine cancer by 5 years of age, so neutering really does save their life. They also have phantom pregnancies which can be very stressful. Neutered rabbits are less temperamental and generally easier to handle, which is especially important if you have children.
